That's a great offer! When they give you your receipt, do they usually mention there's a coupon on it? Otherwise, I could see a lot of people missing it.
-
I've never had them mention it ... I'm sure we have missed it, especially since it isn't always there, even if you remember to look for it.

It's something they run now and then. I think with all my trips I've been there once when it was in use.

Possibly they offer the coupon during the entire day. I've received the coupon with my lunch receipts this week. Here's the verbiage:
************************************************** *********
Present this coupon at participating Walt Disney World ® Resort merchandise locations between store opening and 1:00PM and receive 20% off of the total merchandise purchase.
************************************************** *********
That above paragraph is enclosed in a box of stars at the bottom of the receipt. Underneath that is the participating merchandise locations mentioned by Figment! Also mentioned are the exclusions/limitations of the coupon. It's a fantastic discount. I was glad to notice it just before I made a purchase.

Love, love these coupons. We'll just miss it in January. You'd think they'd want to give them out during slower times. Oh well.
And no, I've never had a cashier point it out to me.

I've never had them point it out to me at WDW, but Disneyland is a totally different story. At DLR in June, not only did the cashier point it out when we got the receipt, but the cashier at the participating stores actually asked if we had one. On more than one occasion, they even suggested we come back the next morning to make our purchase, since it was later in the afternoon and the discount window was closed.
But then, DLR always asks if you have an Annual Pass in order to get a discount, so I guess they have the same mindset about this discount as well.

I love this about DLR. They always remind me about the discounts available.

Exactly.
Which typically puts me in the frame of mind to spend a bit more than I otherwise might.

I used this receipt last week at Disney World on my Vera Bradley purchase. I was pleasently surprised they let me use it on them. I also bought some Pandora on a seperate occasion and the cast member asked if I had a annual pass or VISA or anything. I said I had a VISA but wasn't using it for that transaction and she gave me the annual passholder discount. Magical things happen all the time at Disney.

Was surprised that they could be used at World of Disney at DTD. I saved $23! I also spread some pixie dust by giving my second coupon to the woman on line in front of me since I knew I probably wouldn't use it.
