Default cruises busier during school breaks?

I know WDW is crazy busy to visit during the various holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break) but how about the cruises? Am I missing something in thinking it wouldn't be too bad to cruise during a typical school vacation time, because after all, they can only fit so many people on the ship? I assume it is more expensive during these times, but is there anything else I'm not considering?

Expect the boats to be packed. Judging by the prices they charge, they are still able to get those rates or they wouldn't set them that high. Its the old supply/demand thing. I think any vacation you choose-- cruises included-- the crowds will be much heavier during school breaks.

Yes, and the prices reflect that as well!

The ships often sail at capacity and they are built to handle that. Where you will see the difference is in price.
