Osbourne Spectical of Lights

Does anyone know if the Christmas decorations are up during the week of Thanksgiving? Or when do they post the dates of the various items like the Osbourne lights? We are contemplating a quick trip down over Thanksgiving break only to see the Christmas decor but if it isn't going to be up quite yet....then we may not go until New Year's Time.

I heard it will be up the first or second week of Nov. We are going over that weekend also. See you there.

last year we went nov 10 and osborne lights were up and running if not on the 10th then at some time during our week there it started up.

We were there 2 years ago during the week of Thanksgiving and all the Christmas decorations were already up. We're going again this year for Thanksgiving and very much look forward to seeing all the Christmas decor

I was there November 13--21 last year and they were up and running. Most decorations were up at the parks and the hotels.

MK was fully decorated. The hotels were done by that Monday (11/15). Xmas music was playing the background too (kind of strange walking around in 80 degree weather listening to Xmas music but oh well!)

I also heard that it will begin in 2010 on 11/10. Can't wait -- I'll be going on 11/12 this year!!

I just talked with Disney and the official date for the Osbourne Lights (which has actually been on some promotional stuff for a while, but I couldn't get it verified by anyone) is.......drum roll............
November 8th!!!

We were there from Halloween until mid November. We got to see Osborne Family Lights. It was amazing. When we arrived WDW was all decorated for Halloween and by the time we went home it was all decorated for Christmas! Have a great trip!!!

If the park closes at 7 pm what time are the lights turned on? Is it dark enough at that time? We will be there for a quick weekend Anniversary trip from 11/11-11/14 and I am wondering if we will be able to enjoy them. Thanks.

I think you will be able to enjoy them. We are so happy that the lights go on earlier now so we can enjoy them the whole week of Thanksgiving. For a few years the lights did not initially go on until the day after Thanksgiving Day, our last day.

I THINK the Osborne Lights are turned on at 6:00, and I've been there for that ceremony, and it was plenty light. Plus, while the parks closes at 7, they will usually let you finish your walk through (I think I've been in the Osborne Lights as late as 7:45 when the park closes as 7:00, and there were still people behind us!
