    Default dining in january

It's been ten LONG years since I was last at "uncle Walt's" and this time it will be just DH and myself! We would like to have a sit down adult meal at one of the resorts with these parameters (per DH):
Basic food (nothing "exotic"), not expensive (not over $50 per person) and no characters. I was considering Whispering canyon because it looks like good food for a good price but I am sort of unsure of posts about "rowdy good fun". Anyone have some suggestions? Maybe Whispering canyon is still a good option? We love all fun of the parks but don't really want to be entertained when we eat. Thanks!

    to Intercot!

Whispering Canyon does tend to get loud so that may not be what you are looking for.

The Grand Floridian Cafe has always been good to us. I like their menu and we've always had good service.

Captain's Grille at Yacht Club is another good choice in my opinion. Their menu can be found here. Service has been good for us.

Kona Cafe at the Poly has a menu with a Polynesian flare plus a sushi bar. I'm not sure where the construction in the lobby stands right now though so you may want to save that for another trip.

The food at Whisper Canyon would meet your needs but I personally find it quite loud. Your table doesn't have to choose to participate in the "games" but many other diners will. If this will bother you, I would pick another choice.

Lynn's suggestions are all good. I also like Olivia's. Menu is here.

We love Whispering Canyon, but the main dining room can get loud. We've sat in the smaller back room, and it was WONDERFUL!

What about Boatwrights at POR? We've always really enjoyed our meal there!
