Wild Africa Trek!!!

I was wondering if anyone could please help on the questions I have below about Wild Africa Trek. I have wanted to do this since they started and I'm thinking about doing it on our upcoming trip. If you could please share your thoughts whether it was worth it and how your experience was.

1.) How much does it cost per person to go on Wild Africa Trek?

2.) Can you use an Annual Pass or DVC discount on the price?

3.) What's the best time of day to go? (we will be at WDW July 21-28, 2012)

4.) Do they allow you to take your own cameras on the tour?

Any other info that you think could help would be great! Thanks for the help!

We just took the tour yesterday. I'll try and answer the best I can!

1. The cost is about $180 pp plus tax. I think our total was about $200 pp.

2. We were not able to use any discount (AP, Visa, etc...)

3. We took the 8:45 tour. I would think the early morning ones would be better a it is cooler and the animals tend to be more active then.

4. You may take your own camera as long as it has a strap to either hang around your neck or one they can use to hook it to your vest.

You'll have a blast on this tour. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it!

I haven't done it but I would do an early morning one. We just did the Sunrise Safari from AKL and that tour goes to about 9:00am and they said they bring all the animals forward so you can see them (they put food out for them). They were all up close to the trail and you could see where the trek went by so you would have a good view.
