Default 1000's of Disneyland Vintage Park Items To Be Auctioned!

Van Eaton Galleries is proud to present the exclusive sale of an unprecedented collection of vintage Disneyland memorabilia, the breadth of which weaves an engaging narrative of Walt Disney's beloved theme park.

Rare memorabilia from Disneyland’s early days will go on exhibit Saturday in advance of an auction beginning at the end of the month, a Sherman Oaks gallery announced.

The exhibition will take place 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Feb. 7 to Feb. 27 at the gallery at 13613 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks. The live and online auction will take place at 11 a.m. Feb. 28, and 11 a.m. March 1.

Some of the items on the block:

    - an original Pinocchio character head that dates to 1968, valued at $7,000 to $9,000; and

    - a skeleton from the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride, expected to fetch $60,000 to $90,000

    - A glass E-ticket sign, one of only two made. It's estimated to go for $15,000 to $20,000.

    - Other selections include a panel from the first park monorail, a doll from It's a Small World, a cigar store Indian that once stood in Frontierland (estimated to fetch around $20,000) and Disneyland's first ticket book, which has never been used.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way.

This sounds very cool, but somewhat out of my price range.

I thought "Hey, the auction catalogue is only $30, I can at least have that!"

Of course the shipping to Canada is $45. Never Mind..
