Default annual pass perks

I am wondering, does the purchase of an annual pass at Universal come with the privilege of bringing a guest a couple times, as in some other smaller theme parks? (i.e. Six Flags) Or is Universal too big time for that? I ask because I am going to Disney twice next year, with two separate people, and looking to do a day at Universal on each trip. I'm thinking an annual pass for myself is the best deal, but before we purchase tickets for the others, I'm investigating all options.

Also, how about a no expiration option? Could buy two day passes, and use the second day on the second trip?

I am not an expert on Universal, but we are going in June so I have begun to do some research. My understanding is that if you get either the Preferred or Premier AP, you get 10% off additional ticket purchases. If you get the multi-day passes, I believe you have to use them within 14 days of the first use-- I don' t think there is a no expiration add-on option like Disney.

Hope this helps, and if someone knows more, I am sure they will come along soon!!
