There isn't really a good place at the parks. The stores at the waterparks do sells all things water-related, but the selection can be small.
We did crocs at the waterparks, and just left them when going on the slides. They were great for the rest of the park, and we could wear them on the lazy river without any issues.

We found some at Target, but really did not use them. Flip flops were fine for walking around, then left them at our chair when we went to slides or in water.

I got a wonderful pair that I have beat the tar out of and they are still in great shape. Bought them at Sports Authority around this time a couple years ago and they were on sale for $5.00. Best $5.00 I ever spent! They had female designs/colors, children and male designs/colors so there should be a pair for everyone. Extremely comfortable as well. We have friends that own a vacation home at a local pond/campground, we are in the water all summer long. I have thought I destroyed them wearing them through there including water boarding, tubing, skiing etc. but nope, still in great condition like I bought them yesterday.

I just bought some at Kmart for $10. I found some on clearance at Target for the girls last winter.
After traipsing around BB last summer, my feet were begging for a pair. We'll see how they do this summer.

We were down there last Oct for a outright flood weekend and I wore my Vibrams in the parks and did just fine, still had traction and water just went through my shoes. I was wishing we had got Moma a pair before we left because her tennis shoes were water repellant for the first few hours but after 6+ hours of nonstop rain they were mighty squishy.

aside from most department stores, you can also find better water shoes at some watersport stores and yes, even dive shops work out well. I ended up getting a pair of dive booties which work out quite well and since they have zippers on the sides, the concern of them slipping off is non-existant. of course, you'll have to take them off on the speed slides.

I would say Walmart, kmart, target even walgreens has them. If your with little ones I would say get them for sure. The older kids and adults can wear crocs or flipflops, but the little guys its better to have them. If you are going in summer try checking the Disneystore web site they have them really cute for the little ones. before summer they should go down in price too. although they arent too bad on price now. The parks and hotels might be more $$$

Can you wear them on the slides? Trying to figure out what to do for the kiddos and us. I know you can't wear them on the slide at Beach Club even though you have to cross the walkway and it is a pretty good walk to the top.

for the speed slides, they are usually forbidden because of the possibility of the shoe's rubber bottoms making contact with the slide, which might cause enough friction to make them work as potential brakes which can be potentially dangerous. but you can wear them along the steps until you reach the slide's start.

Target. But, get them NOW before they are sold out! They are Speedo Brand and about $17/pair. Good quality. We just bought some this past weekend.
You can wear the shoes everywhere except the super high speed slides. You can hold them in your hands as you go down those. They are fine to wear on everything else.

Does ANYBODY wear these water shoes and not become completely crippled for the rest of the trip from blisters? As tough as it is in some spots of the water parks, I go barefoot now because every member of my family, including me, has incurred really debilitating blisters and chaffe from wearing the wet water shoes.
