Default Annual Pass Price Increase

Effective Tuesday, 1/5/10, Disney has raised the prices of the annual passes at Disneyland Resort. The new prices are:

Southern California Select $169
Southern California $219
(both passes have blackout dates and are only valid for residents of SoCal in zip codes 90000-93599)

Deluxe $299 (blackout dates apply, parking upgrade is extra)
Premium $439 (no blackouts and parking included)

If you are a resident of SoCal in eligible zip codes Disney is still offering a 12 month payment plan (with $72 due to start) on all annual passes with no interest.

Is this in addition to the increases announced in Sept?

I am not sure what you mean. This is the current price so any price previous would be less than the what they are charging currently ...

$429.... $439... what's another $10.00. I knew it was something like that. I remember when premium passes were $199.

They should dump that So Cal "select" pass...really I don't understand the point of that one.

And, I do believe they DID just recently raise the prices. I know when I had to renew in November, it was up from the previous renewal ($20, Deluxe) and they also raised the price for the parking add on by $10. Can't remember, but I think it was towards the end of the summer?

I can understand price hikes once a year, but this is getting crazy!

I'll still pay it though.

Oh, and FYI, if you are renewing and want to do the payment plan, you do NOT have to put down $72. You can put nothing down if you want. They just split the cost of the pass into 12 payments. I renewed in Nov. and the CM asked me "do you WANT to put anything down?" I told her "don't I have to put $72 down?" and she said, "not really...you can if you want, but you can also put zero down." I chose to put the $$$ down anyway since I had budgeted for it.
