Okay now. What's a zebra dome?

MMMmmmmmmm.. I love Dole Whip.

Dole Whip from your very own kitchen kitchen

Zebra Domes are a chocolate and Khalua flavored dessert at Boma in the AKL. I have yet to experience it, but am almost certain I'd love it.

Again.. in a pinch (or sheer desperation) you can make them at home. Zebra Domes

Thanks for the recipe. I love the Dole Whips. I wonder if you can substitute slpenda for sugar to make it no sugar added.

I tried one a couple of trips back. I love pineapple but this wasn't what I thought it was going to be. DH isn't a fan so I was on my own to finish it. I'll stick to plain soft serve at Mrs. Potts or a frozen lemonade at the enchanted grove.

Zebra domes RULE! Sis tried them last October and wants more.

Just 3 days . . . 23 hours . . .

Now I don't feel so alone. I tried a Dole Whip for the first time on our September trip. While it was good, it wasn't something that became a "must have" treat. It kind of disappointed me, because I was expecting some kind of "WOW" factor. I am sure I will get one again, but if there was a long line I wouldn't wait.

I am in the "not thrilled, but still good" group.

I finally tried one at the Poly, and while it was tasty, I don't dream of having one when we visit.

I don't like floats, so I haven't tried that. I either want ice cream, or a shake, or a liquid drink. I don't like ice cream in a thin liquid drink...just looks nasty when it starts to melt, and I don't like the consistency. I'd much rather just have a pineapple flavored shake.

Then again...I'm a chocolate fanatic, so I'd rather have a chocolate soft serve over a Dole Whip about 90% of the time. There are those odd times that I want something fruit flavored, though.

I think it really has to do with your expectations. My wife and I were at our last day at the MK in June and we had a couple of extra snack credits, so we got a couple and loved them. Notice that we didn't really go out of our way to hunt them down, or obsess about finding them, etc. I think that's the secret. If you look at them as a little perk, they're great; if you're expecting a life changing experience, you may be a bit let down...

Default Dole Whips Outside Disney and Hawaii

I like Dole Whips. I don't understand why but, we can get Dole Whips in Pinapple and it varies by day but the other fruit flavors, at our local ice cream place. They have had it for about the last three years. I don't think they are anyone special. I assume other restaurants can purchase the liquid to put in their ice cream machines.

I thought this was super good. My wife got one when we were there and I was not interested in it. I tried it and we were fighting over it lol.

I've always meant to try one but have always gotten side tracked by the citrus swirl. What a delicious combo of sweet and tart goodness. I will try one in April but my expections will be realistic now that I don't ceel i have to love it.

Last time I went, my wife had a dole whip and she was complaining that it was just soft serve. I had the pineapple float and it was really good. You have to like pineapple to enjoy this stop.
