Default 2011 Disney Magic Class New Cabin Categories

As Disney prepares to launch the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy over the next two years, they are recategorizing the staterooms on the Disney Magic® and Disney Wonder® for sailings in 2011. Not only will the expanded stateroom categories provide consistency with the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, they will more accurately reflect the stateroom features and location, which allows you to better chose the stateroom that fits your needs.

Oh my gosh!!!! This is me pulling my hair out!!!! What is DCL thinking!!!!! Are you already in a DCL nightmare tink1?

Okay, well at least now I know I want a cat 5 and not a cat 6 if I can't get the cat 2.....

Why do people insist on fixing something that is not broke?

One of the things I particularly liked about DCL was that it didn't have the crazy tiering of cabins. I was looking at the QM2 and had the hardest time trying to figure out what cabin was where.

But like Imalismom says, at least I know better what to ask for.

When I cruised on the "Disney Magic," I use to book a category 5 or 6. With the new categories, it looks like I'll be booking a 5A, 5B, 5C, or 6A.

This new system is so crazy! I just booked the maiden voyage on the Dream and the poor booking agent was having to read thru each and every thing b/c she wasn't up on all the new info yet. I've looked on-line @ the new stuff and all I can say is I have a headache. It's definitely going to take some getting used to, that's for sure.

We wanted a cat 7A for the Dream for April 10, 2011. My TA called me with DCL on a three way call. There are no Navigator Verandahs on the Dream, and the 6 cats are at the back of the ship. She said to book a 5D verandah midship on deck 6. $1904.34 for 2A, with transfers and insurance.
