The changes to Space Mt. sound really cool! Makes me want to make a return Halloween trip to DLR.

I am going to be at DL from 24th-26th for the opening of VGC. I am so excited. We have a reservation at Minnies Breakfast in the Park on the 25th for 8:30am. Park opens at 9am. Are you feeling my strategy?

Among possible food items available during the Halloween season at Disneyland, may be the introduction of a flavored churro- A pumpkin/spiced churro!

I was just at DLR two days ago and HM and SM were closed to get ready for all the Halloween events. Does anyone know when they will open up again? I'm in the area and this will be my first holiday at any Disney park (crazy, I know)! I can't wait to plan my return trip to see it all. I know the news section mentioned the 25th-do you think everything is unveiled then or maybe at different times?
Thanks!

Yeah, I'm not a pumpkin fan either, though I wouldn't mind having those maple churros from Tokyo or maybe some of the different flavored popcorn either.

I was wondering if this might be a step in bringing some of the Tokyo flavors (be it churros or popcorn) to California. I know the different flavors would initially go over better at Disneyland v. WDW.

Halloween Screams is great!
Ghost Galaxy needs version 2.0. It isn't bad, but found myself thinking it needs more.

Halloween Screams was wonderful! A great show worthy of the Disney brand. Ghost Galaxy was different and not what I expected. But I do agree it needs more. I was there opening day and I felt it didnt deserve the 95 minute wait it had (thank god for Breakfast in the Park and Fast pass). Holiday HM was also packed having a 30 min wait on opening day & Disney had the FP going for this (something they dont do during summer).
I will NEVER go on opening day for these attractions again. It really wasnt bad, but I foolishly thought being the end of Sept crowds would be minimal & it was 100 degrees. So I didnt get as much done as I would have liked.
Oh well, the halloween themed attractions are still a cant miss.

Can understand wanting to avoid opening day.
We did the day after.
Wasn't that bad.
The line for HMH was fine because it is a fun line in the evening with plenty to look at.
SMGG took exactly seventy five minutes as was posted on the sign.
Definitely not worth the wait.
Maybe after some tweaking it will be.
I will ride it again during the season but ONLY with FP.

I've only made a day trip to the park so far, so I haven't seen all the Halloween elements live. I did go on Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy on Friday. I got in line at 11:45am, the standby wait time was 75 minutes. The fastpass return was around 8pm.
I enjoyed this holiday overlay. I though the music, sound effects and ghost images worked well together. There are certainly some tweeks they could do to make it a little better. Though, I'm looking forward to going on it again.
Also, they've added projections, and sound effects on the outside of Space Mountain. I haven't been there at night yet, but the little bit I've seen online looks pretty cool. I've heard some people like what Disney did on the outside of Space Mountain, more than the effects inside the ride.
I have not seen the new Halloween fireworks show live yet, but I did watch it on YouTube. A lot of people thought this summers firework show "Magical", was a big step backwards from "Remember". From what I've seen online, "Halloween Screams" looks very, very good. The show seems to be getting a lot of positive feedback. I can't wait to see this, though I probably won't get back to the park for another week or so.

My thoughts exactly.
The outside of SMGG is amazing.
Great effects, lighting and sound.
Inside needs to be tweaked more.
Halloween Screams is definitely closer to Remember than Magical was.
HS drew me in quickly and enjoyed it very much.
Magical, I kind of had to add the fun myself. I did get choked up when Dumbo appeared even though I knew he was coming.
