Red face Animal Kingdom 2 Bedroom "value"- Should I Be Worried ?

Hello All !! Does anyone have any experience with the "Value" version of the 2 Bedroom Villas at Animal Kingdom ? I'm a little leary because the difference in points between this and the Savannah view is huge !! What should I be wary of ? Thanks to all who respond !!!

I'd only worry if you are having a really full two bedroom. The only difference is that the rooms are all about 3-4' less deep; thus no sleeper chair in the family room. Otherwise, if you can get it, they are great. You will probably need to book it at 11 months exactly. There are only 5 two bedroom units (that can be broken out) and they go quickly. Good luck

We had a two bedroom lock off value villa and it had a savannah view. We were very surprised at the location and the upgraded view from the standard view we booked. It was close to the elevator and lobby and we had giraffes, ostriches, zebras and other animals right outside our 5th floor balcony.

I wouldn't be worried at all. I love the Standard view categories at all locations.....it offers a great resort and all the amenities for a reduced point outlay.

After working at WDW resorts....I'm still amazed at the ridiculous overemphasis placed on view....
It's really not worth more money and or points. (I know i could find a million who will shout until their last breath that i'm wrong...but i hold firm on this one)

We've had Savannahs at least a half a dozen times at AKL....they're great....don't get me wrong....it's really nice

But i'm going to use an old, tired cliche that is absolutely true:
You really don't spend alot of time looking out your window!!!

The most important thing is that you have access to all the the food, recreation, service, and exterior amenitites to the resort.....and if you can do it for less cash or points.....don't think a second about it.

I am interested about the Okapi going into the Villas Savannah.....but since they like solitude I seriously doubt anybody will have one ten feet from their balcony anyway

I couldn't agree more. We stay most often at the Boardwalk; and while the BW view is nice, I would never purposely choose to have a "preferred view" over "standard" at the Boardwalk. I do see the "Boardwalk View" as being nice, but like you said - I'd rather save the points!

Concur....Std View at BWV in April.....why waste 20-30 more points for the week to have a noisy room with the view of a custodian cleaning up hurl off the deck at 6 am after employee night (college program amateur night) at Jellyrolls?

I'm here at BWV right now in a Standard View room (1-BR). I miss my Boardwalk View room!
