    Dear Michael -

    Thank you for the information.

I think I may have found something to do with the money I saved on the room (MKC discount for 12 nights at CBR in December). And, by the time I make reservations for the tour, I'll be able to get the AP discount.

Now - I just have to fit it into the trip, and convince my mother she really wants to do this.

    Thanks again.

    Talking

I'm glad I could help you, Goofygirl. Replies like yours are why it is so rewarding to help people here at Intercot.

Hey, I really liked disneydave's comment about bringing the camera, and think it is excellent advice. You will probably want to take a picture of your tour guide and group when it is finished. And there is a portion of your tour that is on-stage at the very end. I don't want to give it away, but it will all make sense when you are finished. (So, don't take my advice -- bring your camera! )

DisneyDave I'm glad to hear that you took the tour by yourself and found it to be a very rewarding experience! I don't think I will have problems meeting people on the tour, I can talk to anyone about Disney

Hate to bring such an old topic back up.. but I was considering taking it this year and wondered about the price, after reading this in the "Unofficial Guide":
"Everyone should take at least one... tour. Especially worthwhile are Hidden Treasures and.... Backstage Magic visits behind the scenes locations at several theme parks, whilst.... Ranging in duration from one to seven hours and in price from $5 to $160....

So can I take that as meaning this tour is now $160?

I took this tour (solo) two years ago. It had to be one of the most wonderful days of my stay. Personally it did not ruin any of the magic only made me appreciate what a wonderful place WDW was. After taking the tour I visited the four parks I found I looked at everything with wide open eyes and saw things that the average visitor wouldn't.

The group on our tour was fairly small (only 10 of us) which made it very nice. Our 'tour guide' was fantastic, I believe her name was Susan. I actually ran into when I arrived for lunch at Tony's Town Square after my hubby and kids left for home. She was dining with her mom and I was seated next to her and we all had a wonderful conversation.

Later in my trip I took the Hidden Treasures Tour. There were only three of us in the group that day, myself and a couple whom I had spent the day with on the Backstage Magic Tour. So it made for another great day.

I am fairly certain that it is still $199.

You can call CRO at 407-WDISNEY to check prces, availability and get more details about the different tours.

When I called and booked this tour approximately 4-5 months ago the price of the tour was $199.

Also I was told that the age limit has been increased to 18 years of age to take the Backstage Magic tour.
