With all the rumours about a new movie replacing the original. I thought it w ould be a good time to discuss it. This was one of the first simulator attraction in disney Parks it's debut was part of a Disneyland makeover & it had been thrilling guests ever since.

I really enjoy the attraction but I'm looking forward to the new movie for a change of pace.

Can't say that I'm a big fan of this ride ...

I find most of the simulators pretty boring and this one is too short, in my opinion.

I'll be looking forward to getting a new film in there to give me a reason to go back on because as of now I don't even bother with it anymore.

This is one of my favs because I can't do roller coasters and this gives you the sensation while still feeling safe! I'm sure coaster lovers don't get as much from it!

A new movie would be great - I hope they keep something similar to the part where you go over the edge, 'cause I love that.

    Cool

This is one of the brightest and best attractions in all of WDW. I could ride all day.

The movie rumor is that the new movie will be based on the pod racing scenes from the Phantom Menace. That might make an interesting combination with the movie and simulation movement.

I'm a big Star Wars fan, but frankly, didn't care too much for this attraction. I mean, it was fun, maybe sometimes a little queesy (but not as much as Body Wars), but it's also a simulator. I'll take a dark ride over a simulator ride anyday

(How many days till Episode 2? )

I like this attraction. I makes me feel sick most of the time, but to me a small price to pay. sorry, I feel better. It makes me dizzy feeling only for about five minutes.

Ok, enough about me. Did anyone ever see the tag on Pee-Wee, I mean Paul Rubin, I mean the robot driver (Rex?) that says "remove this tag before operating"? I love the feeling of the tractor beam. I think that is the best part. The worst part has to be the ice chunk that you go through. Ok, I feel better..

I have downloaded the line sound track and enjoy every minute. The best part is the Jaba (the Hut) announcement. The little robot, in line, is neat to listen to. I like when he looks up and says "there goes my dad up there."

I don't get tiered of this one for some reason. I will be alright with a replacement though.

gotta luv it. I rate this 1 of my tops in MGM since its Star Wars & movies. bein in the movie business attracts my attention (even if I do only sell VHS/DVD & not make them) last time I think the exit was boarded up thru gift shop. thought it was gettin redone then. I had heard something before about it gettin redone. the queue is good. gee I wonder how much Lucas gets for rights to this ride?

The best aspect of this attraction is the queue area. The Ewok village, the land walker and the inside.

This is one of those attractions where they did a great job on the queue and the front of the building itself. I love to just walk up there and see the Ewok village, the walker, and the rest. Chewbacca was out front one of the times we went there, and one of the kids in our party was wearing a Darth Vader shirt, Chewbacca yelled, as only he can, and grabbed the kids shirt lifting him a little off the ground. It was great. One of those Disney moments you never forget.
I love to go inside and see everything going on from the Droids to Admiral Akbar and the rest of the decor. It's one of the rides where the wait isn't always so bad. And I love the music too. Love to hear it on Intercot radio--it brings me right back. And, oh ya, the ride is pretty good too. But I wouldn't mind seeing it changed, as long as they do a great job of it...not like JIYI.

I'm one of those that doesn't like simulators. I love rollercoasters, drop rides, flume rides, etc, and never blink an eye or get sick, but I guess I'm one of those who gets queasy on these rides. It happened at Body Wars, Sea World, and Universal too. I do love Star Wars though, it is without a doubt my favorite movie ever. Maybe that's why i thought this ride didn't do it any justice. I do think that the AT-AT Walker that makes up the building is the coolest thing at MGM. I do like the queue area too, and seeing the Ewoks' feet dangling from the seats in the safety talk video cracks me and my wife up to no end!

My wife and I have been lucky enough the last two years to see everyone's favorite wookie, Chewy. I had my picture taken with him the first year and I know I was acting worse than a kid trying to get a picture with his favorite character. Although maybe a little ashamed of my behavior, I did get a great shot of Chewy with his arm around me! Last year we were just about to board the ride and Chewy comes strolling by. My wife wanted to get another pic of me and Chewy but I insisted on her getting the pic this year, and we now have a great shot of her and Chewy as well. Can't wait to go in April, hope to see him again!
Oh, and by the way I love the ride but it does get a little stale after repeating viewing so I wouldn't mind seeing another movie inserted!

I know that a lot of you think that this ride is cheesy, but my sister and I loved it, when we went there in 1999.

Right after we got off the first time, she wanted to go back on again. So we did.

I don't think it's cheesy at all, I love it--I just wouldn't mind if the movie were changed to freshen it up a bit.

And Disneydude, ya gotta love Chewbacca!! I have a great picture of him with my son-when he was 11. It's a great shot.

The queue area is great as well as the outside of the building. While I do like it a little the way it is now, I will be glad if they change the movie to the pod racing. I wish they would put in some 3D effects and make the ride a little more intense. I still say that it is the perfect theme for a ride like the Spiderman ride at IOA. Anyone else agree?

I NEVER see the tag that says "remove..." And I always am looking for it. Of course I don't do this one every time we're there...I'm not a big simulator fan, but it's still a pretty cool ride.

    I LOVE STAR TOURS

Nothin like traveling through space and shootin up a Star Destroyer!!

I hope, like you guys, that they do offer a few new excursions, so the ride can be "updated" without closing the ride!!
