Default Barksy's Most Expensive Day Ever Day 2

Barsky - Golden Retriever pup extraordinaire
    Christi - my human
Aaron - my human's friend and shaman in World of Warcraft

    Hello again people!

Sunday morning, we were up bright and early to get ready for our first day in the parks. Aaron, however, wasn't quite so bushy tailed. My human wound up cancelling our first fastpass, which was for Space Ship Earth, so that it wouldn't be wasted. I was disappointed. I really wanted to ride in the giant golf ball, but my human assured me we would go on it some time today.

Aaron was finally up and ready, so we headed out. The GPS in my human's phone really saves us a lot of trouble, and we arrived at the Epcot parking lot rather quickly. Unfortunately, there was a long line to get in to park. There was some sticker shock when we saw the price to park was $22 for the day. My human turned on her MDE app and showed the cast member her annual pass. We got right in for free even though she hadn't activated it yet.

My human and I went through the bag line at security, while Aaron went through the line for people without bags. He got in fairly quickly and had to wait for us. After security, we went to guest services to activate our tickets and get my human's DAS activated. The cast member there was fantastic! My human commented that it was so much better than the last time she had been there.

We got into the first entrance line we came across, and got halfway through when my human realized it was an annual pass only entrance. We asked if Aaron could still get in with us, even though he was using a regular ticket. The cast member let us in without any problems.

There was a whole line of people taking pictures in front of the Flower and Garden entrance topiaries, and no photopass photographer to be found there, so our first order of business was breakfast. My human decided to eat at the Seasons, so we went to the Land Pavilion. It was AMAZING! So many colors everywhere. Hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling. The delicious smell of bacon and eggs wafting through the air. After stopping to get a return time for Soarin', we picked out breakfast and found a table. The person next to us had a beautiful Belle cupcake. It was almost too pretty to eat. My human didn't want to risk getting sick from eating grains, so she didn't go buy one by sheer will power. I wish she would have though. Then I could have gotten a couple of licks of it.

Living with the Land had a 45 minute wait time. My human said that was ridiculous, so we skipped going on it. She made a comment about Fastpass + ruining some of the wait times for rides. We did a little shopping and then it was time for Soarin'.

This ride is UNBELIEVABLE! We were hang gliding over the whole world. We saw polar bears on the ice, elephants fighting each other, giant waterfalls, and other great stuff. The Taj Mahal smelled incredible. It was over too soon, but I was cheered up by the fact that we were headed to Spaceship Earth.

Once we got to the giant golf ball, the line was 30 minutes long. My human got a return time, and we headed to Norway to get some schoolbread. First, we stopped at Club Cool, where my human took a selfie of her and Aaron drinking a drink called Beverly. By the look on his face, Aaron didn't like it too much. My human thoroughly enjoyed the moment. Next, we stopped at the Fountain of Nations, and Christi taught us how they had taken water from all over the world and poured it into the fountain when they first opened it. Next stop was the Mexico pavilion. Viva la Mexico! Donald Duck was missing, so we hopped in a boat to help find him. The best part of the Gran Fiesta Tour was the pyramid. I got a selfie with it.

We finally arrived in Norway, and my human happily started chowing down on her schoolbread. She then said "it tastes different. It has too much cardamom." She split the bread open and just at the custard out of it. I got to lick some of the custard out, and it was delicious! We then went into the Stave church to read about Thor, Odin, and Loki.

After shopping in the Norway pavilion for a little bit, it was time for our Test Track fastpass. It started raining pretty hard, so we were hoping that they didn't close down the ride. My human tucked me into my bag to keep me dry and we set off. They were pretty wet by the time we arrived. The ride wasn't shut down, so we designed our car and got in to test it out. My human was very happy that they don't have the cold room any more, but she would have liked the hot room to help dry them off and warm them up. Our car didn't rank very high at first, but we had built it for speed! Finally, they opened the gate and we went flying out! 20 mph, 30 mph, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 64 mph! It was glorious. The air was whipping through my fur, and the rain drops were getting in my eyes. Then it was over. The rankings glitched as we arrived, so we didn't get to see how well our car did in the speed section, and we didn't get to see our picture. There's always October though.

We had ridden just in time. Test Track got shut down as we were getting out of the building. We didn't have time to worry about that though, because we were off to Mission Space. I was the pilot, and performed my role impeccably! We floated in space and saw our beautiful planet slowly twirling below us. So many lights twinkled on and off. Our landing was a bit perilous due to a storm in our landing zone, but our commander got us down safely.

My human was concerned that my bag wouldn't hold up in the rain, so we stopped in MouseGears. My human booked another fastpass so that we could learn all about our imaginations and bought a cool new bag to protect me and our electronics. Then it was time to learn about our Spaceship Earth. It was pouring rain as we exited Mousegears, and people were leaving the park in droves. It took us a while to get through all the people from Mousegears to Spaceship Earth, but finally we arrived.

We learned how communication has developed throughout history, and there was a little cartoon at the end with my face on it! Afterwards, we dashed through the rain to the Imagination Pavilion, where I made a new friend named Figment. Figment is very mischievious and made us all smell stinky skunks! Then we went to his open house, where everything was upside down. I don't know how all of the groceries didn't fall out of his refrigerator.

We had seen all the countries while flying high above the earth, but it was time to go see them in person again. We skipped Mexico and Norway and started our tour again in China, working our way counter clockwise around the lake. By the time we hit the American pavilion, we were starving again. Liberty Inn had a tasty lunch and Don Felder from the eagles was performing.

When we hit France, my human got a Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy. She doesn't drinking very often, so it hit her pretty hard. We slowed down through the United Kingdom and Canada. Then she went to claim her spot for Illuminations. I wandered around marking our territory, but some ruffians still appeared. One of them even stepped on my human! I wanted to take care of them, but my human stuffed me in my bag. She said it was the wise thing to do. Human wisdom confuses me some times. I thought it would be wise to bite them. Aaron agreed with me, but my human insisted that we didn't want to get thrown out before seeing Illuminations.

She was right. Illuminations was marvelous. Fire was going everywhere! Fireworks were lighting up the sky with bright colors. Water fountains sprung up and a globe floated out on the water.

We'll go on through the joy and through the tears . .. I sang the song as we walked out of the park.

It seemed like forever to get back to our car. My human was too tired to go to the grocery store, so we just went back to the resort and went to sleep.
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so glad you got to meet Figment. I always wonder how his popcorn doesn't fall right out of the bowl. Even with the rain, sounds like a great day!
