Default Purchasing mvmcp tickets with Disney gift cards

Help! I have been buying $50 gifts cards over time and wanted to use them to purchase MVMCP tickets. I called and tried to buy three tickets for the party and was told I can only use 2 gift cards towards purchase. I was then going to buy each ticket separately but I’d still have a small balance per card that I would have to pay for and I was going to use my credit card. How can I do this?

Go to the Disney gift card site and combine your cards. You can put up to $1000 on each card. Remember to mark the one you are transferring to and saving it since any refunds will go back to it.

Lynn is right. Combining your giftcards onto one single card it's the way to go. Transferring balances from one card to another is simple. Doing that also has the advantage of having you store that primary card on the site for easy access. Should a refund happen for some reason the funds will go back to the card that was used. Even even if you misplace the physical card, you'll still see it in your giftcard account and be able to transfer those funds to another card. It's a simple and effective backup system for giftcards.

Oh no! Is the 2 gift card limit just for MVMCP tickets? I have several gift cards that I have been collecting over several months so use to pay the hotel balance when we arrive later this month. Will I be able to use all of them?

The 2 card limit applies to purchases made on the website. You can use multiple giftcards at the front desk.
If you're planning on using giftcards to pay the balance on your room only reservation when you arrive, be aware that they will charge the credit card you have connected to your MDE account for that amount around 6am the morning of your arrival. You'll want to consider using the giftcard website to combine your cards ontro one or more cards and then calling in and making that final payment over the phone.

The gift card site and I have become good friends this year, I managed to pay for our upcoming cruise with gift cards purchased at an average of 9.5% savings.

Quick tip, when removing the silver strip just take the edge of one card and push it against the strip and then it pulls right off. I find it easier than scratching each one.
