Getting a Pass

Disney Springs has announced a new perk for Annual Passholders. The retail and dining district will be holding special Passholder Events on the Second Saturday of each month. Passholders can register for the events by responding to e-mail invitations.

Pixar Playtime

After internally announcing the imminent closure of their Children’s Activity Centers; the Walt Disney World resort has announced a new Children’s Activity option. Beginning April 13th, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is piloting a nightly Pixar-themed Child Care program for Guests ages 4 – 12. The program includes training at Star Command, joining Woody’s Roundup, taking the Piston Cup Challenge, and an Incredible dance party to cap off the evening. The program is priced at $65 (plus tax) per child and the program lasts form 6:00 pm till 10:30 pm. Same-day registration for the program begins daily at 5:00 pm and advanced reservations can be made via 407-824-KIDS.

A Blossoming Event

Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs is holding an inaugural Sakura Festival March 15 – April 15, 2018. This celebration of the annual cherry blossoms in japan will bring special décor and a special menu.

Treat Time

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has introduced a new dessert to usher in the newest Walt Disney Pictures feature film. Most Counter Service locations are offering a limited time Wrinkle in Time Cupcake priced at $5.99. The cupcake is comprised of Pink Lemonade cake with Lemon Buttercream icing, mickey sprinkles, and a white chocolate A Wrinkle in Time logo.

Cartoons in Your Coffee

Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company in Disney Springs has added a few more ways to add some Character to your average cup of joe. The coffee shop recently added to its printable coffee line by adding Goofy, Donald Duck, and Seasonal Shamrocks.

Seating Switches

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is re-shuffling two of its restaurants’ offerings. After recently discontinuing Dinner seatings at the Las Ventanas restaurant, the resort has announced that Rix Lounge will offer Table Service dining with Lunch and Dinner seatings. The new service is scheduled to begin May 1, 2018.

Cosmic Changes

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in the Magic Kingdom has added a new signature dessert and may be undergoing a small expansion. The counter service restaurant recently added the Sonny Eclipse Cookies and Cream Cheesecake priced at $5.99. The dessert is chocolate covered cookies and cream cheesecake with a white chocolate cameo of Sonny Eclipse.

Construction Walls have also recently been raised outside the seating area across from the Tomorrowland Speedway. Area Cast have reported that this construction is for an expansion of the outdoor seating area.
