    Default Summer 2018 Special Offer

Anyone else waiting to see what special offer they come out with for July/August? Does it make sense to wait or should we book now and try and add the deal on later? Also can you make dining reservations ahead of an actual hotel/package reservation?
Thanks for any answers in advance!

Anyone can make ADRs at anytime 180 days or less in advance. You don't need tickets or a resort reservation to do so.

As for booking a room in anticipation of a deal being offered later, yes, you can do that, but be aware that doing so may not be in your best interest. Discounts are released to fill vacant rooms, not to be nice to guests. If you and 3000 others all book a room now, but expect to change when Disney releases a discount in 6 months, you may be disappointed. Disney may not need to offer discounts since the rooms have already been booked.

In the last decade we've seen a steady decline in available discounts - limited resorts, limited room types, minimum stays. I've also seen a steady rise in people recommending (and doing) the "book early, change later when the discount comes out" thing. I think the two behaviours (guest's and Disney's) are related.

If you so decide to book now and then try to get a discount later, I recommend contacting Magical Journeys and let them handle your reservation. They are great to work with and will watch for any discounts that may apply to your situation.

Definitely what Steve said. Listen to Steve. Steve is wise.

Even though I'm an ole' pro at booking Disney vacations, I always just get the ladies at Magical Journeys to do it. They'll book everything for me, and then a few months later, they're still keeping their eye on things so if a BETTER deal comes up, they'll contact me and say "Hey, we just saved you X-number of dollars with this discount code we found!"

What could be better than that! And I don't have to keep scouring the internet making sure I've got the best deal because I know the ladies are already doing it for me.
