Default If you make a reservation right at the end of the dining window...

for example, if I have an 11:50 reservation at a place that serves breakfast "until 12:00". How bad do they rush you to get you out of there? And do you still get to enjoy the characters, or are they pretty much winding down?

Our experience with dinner several years ago was they kinda rushed us through the meal. One whole side of the buffet had already been cleaned up and the characters came by rather quickly. We still enjoyed our meal but did feel slightly rushed to get out the door

I think it depends on whether or not there is a gap between breakfast and lunch seatings at a particular restaurant. Where are you looking at going to?

I ask because at Tusker House we booked a late breakfast seating once and we ate breakfast and lunch foods, as they were phasing lunch in while we were there. There is no break between breakfast and lunch at Tusker House apparently, and our waitress encouraged us to eat from both selections. We took her up on the offer and boy were we STUFFED at the end! It was the best character experience we ever had, there was no rushing of characters, I assume because there is no "shutdown" time between seatings there. While we were able to eat both foods simultaneously, there was no feeling of either buffet being "skimpy" due to the changeover, it was just as stocked as any other time IMHO.
Coming up.. A break from Disney, and a lot of camping!

We've done this many times at both the Tusker House and 1900 Park Fare. We've never been rushed and actually the character interactions seemed more inclusive. Not all the table were full so it seemed as though we had a longer access to the characters .... fun times at both places and great food ....
