It has been close to the same here. It was so humid a couple of days last week, it looked sort of foggy most of the day until we finally had some huge thunderstorms. It was miserable outside.

A few years ago, I can't remember what year now off the top of my head but we had highs of 107 to 109 for about a week straight along with high humidity. It was bad....real bad. lol

The best scenario would be to live in Florida in the winter and up North in the summer. Those that do that are referred to as "Snow Birds" down here because they show up in the winter.
You may be right but 90° in the stuffy humid mountains is like 90° in sunny Florida. I like hot n humid, so long as the AC is working. What I do not like are the months without sun, or warm days to go outside at all. The brown trees, brown grass, dirty snow, icy roads, storm after storm after storm calling for significant amounts of MORE SNOW.... realistically though, we don't have snow on the ground every day from October till April, but in my ( wanna be in Florida mind ), it feels like it !! If I could afford two homes, a snow-bird I'd certainly be. So, I'll keep dreaming of one day living in Florida and if I end up hating it, then the same road that brought me south can take me back north. Maybe I can find one of those retirement communities that'll let me lease a place for 4/5 months ??!! haha ......

Interesting that this thread popped back up because we have been discussing this all week. It has been overly hot and humid here in GA this summer and sometimes I wonder if planning on moving to FL eventually will be a good idea or not. We are headed to Deland tomorrow for a one night visit with family and then on a little three night cruise.

My parents retired to Phoenix. Also insanely hot, but they have adjusted to just doing things differently.

It is much drier here. I know it doesn't seem like it would make a difference when it is 120 degrees, but it makes a HUGE difference. When I had a contract in South Carolina during the summer, I didn't even go out and do anything besides go to work and come home. The humidity was atrocious.

I'm here 5 years now. The summers are easier for me now. Guess I've adjusted to the climate and humidity.

My husband's Dad retired to Phoenix. Although it would be easier for him now to be closer to family in FL, he absolutely refuses to move because of the humidity. He lived here previously so he knows what he's talking about.
