Shopping Shakeup

11/26/17
D-Living did not re-open from its refurbishment with a new themed collection, rather the location has been replaced by a new store. Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories is a new Disney designer concept boutique specializing in women’s accessories and jewelry. More details and pictures of the new store can be found in D-Living Replaced by New Store in Disney Springs.

10/8/17 D-Living in Disney Springs is ready to rotate its décor and merchandise. To facilitate the face lift, the store will be closed October 9th with a “November” re-opening. If the store follows the rotation from its first year; it should be expected that the next selection will be the store’s “Holiday” selection.

An Appearing Act

The Abracadabar at Disney’s Boardwalk recently made a few things appear—Appetizers and a new cocktail. The location has added an appetizers menu of Thrice Spiced Fries, Mile Zero Shrimp Cocktail, The Evolution of Cheese, Kurobuta Pork Belly, & Fish Bites and Fries. The magician themed lounge has also added a new cocktail; Hoodunit's Punch is comprised of Captain Morgan, Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice and Coconut.

Don’t Worry Rover

Guests to the 2017 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties have another Christmas Surprise if they play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. The 2017 Party Exclusive card is “Rover's Christmas Carousel of Progress”. The card inscription reads, “Christmastime is never dogless at the Carousel of Progress”.

A Cure For what Ales You

After an approximately one month delay, the new Ale & Compass Restaurant complex opened today (November 26th). The new restaurant, lounge, and to-go market complex feature a variety of new dishes and specialties. See Ale & Compass Lounge and for Ale & Compass Restaurant more details.

10/8/17 As the Yacht club transitions to its new restaurant line-up, there may be a short gap in its offerings. The Captain's Grille has closed in its temporary location prior to the opening of its Ale & Compass Restaurant replacement. During this unannounced gap, Guests may find casual Breakfast & Lunch dining options at the Yachtsman Steakhouse and some additional dinner options at the Market at Ale & Compass. It is not clear if the previously announced “October 2017” date for the new offerings is still planned.

7/30/17 Disney’s Yacht Club has announced a change for its table service restaurant. Captain’s Grille has been announced to be transformed into the Ale & Compass Restaurant completing a trifecta with the new Market at Ale & Compass and a soon to be expanded Ale & Compass Lounge. The new restaurant has been announced to feature New England-inspired comfort food with a gastropub ambience. The new restaurant and expanded lounge are set to open in October 2017.

The Best-Laid Plans of Mouse and Man

Some detail to the time table for the expansion announced at the 2017 D23 Expo has started to be unveiled. Walt Disney World has yet to make a public announcement regarding Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway; however, Operations Cast have begun to report that the future attraction is set to open Mid April - Early May 2019 based on internal schedules. Additionally, the Cast Parking lot behind the Galaxy Palace Theater at the Magic Kingdom closed 10/28/17 indicating the construction on the future Willis Wood inspirited Theater is likely imminent.
