Default Insight for a 12/31 stay

1st Thank you for the feedback.
    Backstory-WL from 12/27-12/31
We have RSVP for several hotels 12/31-1/01
    WL
    SWAN & DOLPH
    RIVERSIDE
    CONTEMP

We are actually going to be celebrating NYE 12/30 at MK. We wanted to extend our trip a day. However, we do not know where we should stay. We have WL for more night, however that does not get us around the fireworks and keeps us a little hidden from all the action. This might not be a bad thing.
Swan and Dolph, Spec dolph room with EPCOT firework view for actually two night b/c you can't get one a night stay for our date. That means we can check out whenever we would like, an advantage.
CONTEMP-We have a theme park view, and it is expensive, do not know if it is worth it?
Riverside- No where near anything could go to Springs, but on the cheaper side. Still a nice resort
    Again thank you!
PLEASE WAIT UNTIL THE RIDE COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP!!!

Since you'll have seen the MK fireworks the Swan/Dolphin sort of appeals to me. I agree, I like the idea of not having to check-out early on Jan 1st and having a fireworks view of Epcot is nice. If you want to go out a bit that night without going into the parks you could always take a stroll along the Boardwalk.

We have stayed at Swan and Contemp for NYE. Our best times were at the Swan. Great to enjoy festivities at Epcot and then take a leisurely stroll back to the Swan.

Since you'll already have seen the MK New Years fireworks on the 30th I'd also recommend the Swan or Dolphin. Either of WL and Riverside would require the use of Disney transportation or your own personal vehicle, both of which can take hours on New Years eve, while the Swan/Dolphin or Contemporary give you the option to walk back to your resort at the end of the night.
