Cards to the Kingdom

9/4/17 Keeping with tradition, the 2017 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party is offering a special edition Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card exclusive to Party Guests. The 2017 spell card is the ”Country Bears Moonlight Jamboree”.

Welcome Foolish Shoppers

9/4/17 Guests at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs can now decorate their favorite Dining Room with Haunted Mansion furniture for an otherworldly price. Featuring the purple and black Haunted Mansion wallpaper print; Guests may furnish their Dining Room table with Camel Back Side Chairs priced at $2,000 each and “Ghost Host” Chairs priced at $4,000 each. For the less spendthrift (and more sane) Haunted Mansion Shopper, a mirror with the frosted image of The Caretaker, Hitchhiking Ghosts, Madame Leota, The Bride, and the Hatbox Ghost is priced at $250.

A Tale of 2 Delays

9/4/17 As the Edison marches towards its 4th Opening Date (now Late 2017), a second dining concept has been internally announced for the same location. Located in the basement of The Edison will be Maria & Enzo's. This casual restaurant and speakeasy era bar with underground rum-running tunnels will also be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group along with the upstairs tenant. Although not officially confirmed, it appears that this will replace the Walt’s Place and Neverland Tunnels that were shown in early Disney Springs plans based on the reported location and earlier descriptions of The Edison.

Setting the Table

9/4/17 A popular Magic Kingdom Table Service location has been announced for refurbishment in Late Winter 2018. Cinderella's Royal Table is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment from February 28 through March 2, 2018.

Shopping Shake-Up

9/4/17 The replacement for the retail space vacated inside Once Upon a Toy has been revealed. The vacated space will become the recently announced Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire VR attraction. It appears the attraction will have its own entrance located in the rear of the building, but an exact layout has not yet been announced. Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is schedule to open “Holiday Season 2017”.

8/3/17 Marketplace Fun Finds has re-opened as the Star Wars Trading Post. The new incarnation of the store features a large variety of Star Wars Merchandise including a "Droid Factory" station.

7/30/17 Two Marketplace area stores in Disney Springs are undergoing changes. Marketplace Fun Finds closed on July 24th for a refurbishment to transform the store into a new Star Wars themed retail location to open on August 3, 2017. With the new dedicated store nearby, the Star Wars section in Once Upon a Toy is slated to be removed for a yet-to-be-announced new experience.
