I was thinking the same thing. We love having the option of Memory Maker, and are very happy it's still currently included with AP.....

Our vacation is in a week and a half and I have been dragging my feet to purchase it at $149. Now my reward for procrastinating is to pay an extra $20. Great...

It seems like they've been offering more photographers and picture opportunities around the entire world in recent months, too - so that increases the potential value of the pass. There were several outstanding locations in Pandora for pictures - during the day and at night. Obviously, you can have those pictures taken and just buy them without MM, but we tend to stop for photos way more often when we have it. And after the trip is done, we're always glad to have those memories.

So I have a question...if I don't purchase Memory Maker then we can still have photos taken all week long by cast members at the parks but then we can only purchase whichever ones we want and those we can keep instead of keeping ALL of the pictures that are taken if we were to purchase Memory Maker, correct? So if a hundred photos are taken of our group and we look through them and buy 10, those are the ones we keep and the rest will be deleted....?

That is correct. If you purchase just a few pictures after a certain time period the rest will be deleted

Either way they will all be deleted at some point. Even if you purchase Memory Maker, you have to download them within the specified timeframe. After that time they are deleted/unavailable.

I can't say for sure, but I believe that if you're going to buy 10, it will likely total close to the cost of Memory Maker at $169. But I've never priced individual pictures.

One thing for us all to remember is that the price for MM used to be $169 and it actually dropped to $149 back in 2015 (maybe the first time ever in WDW history that a price for something went down). So while I also don't like the price increase, it's back to where it was originally.

I thought it was $169 at one point before. I even had it budgeted at $169 for our recent trip. When we purchased it at $149 I was perplexed. Thanks for helping me know I'm not losing my mind.
