    Default So torn

As you guys know, my last trip to Disneyland wasn't the best. I'm going to Blizzcon at the Anaheim Convention Center at the beginning of November with a friend of mine who has never been to a theme park. Afterwards, we are staying in Huntington Beach for a week. The desire to go to the parks is sooooo strong. I love taking people who have never been.
I won't stay at a Disney hotel. The last time was just too horrible.
Should we just go have breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen and Storyteller's Cafe the two days we will be across the street?
Should I just plan on going to the parks the day before and the day after Blizzcon?
The last trip was so horrid, but I've had so many good times there too. HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

I would give it another try. I've left WDW with a bad taste but the next trip always made up for it somehow.

I think you should give it another try!

I waited and wished for years to go to Disneyland. Finally got the chance to not only visit Disneyland, but spend 11 nights in SoCal. I actually got very sick about half way through our trip. We had only done one park day in Disneyland when I got sick and didn't fully recover till about a week after we were home. I didn't even use all the days on my ticket. The whole trip seems like a blur to me and I don't even remember some things my family swears we did. I joke that I feel like I was either drunk or hungover for the entire trip. I would give anything to do a redo. We will get back there in the next few years, just hard to time it right with high school teens and their never ending schedules!

I know my situation is much different that the obstacles you faced, but I still think it's worth another shot. You deserve to have a great Disneyland experience! Most people I know have absolutely loved their Disneyland trips. I want that same magical experience and I am sure you do too! Just go for it!

Sorry to hear you got so sick Buzznwoodysmom. Glad you got better.

I guess it didn't take much to convince. I already had half the meal reservations planned in my head. :P

The plan is to arrive early on Thursday and go to California Adventure. I'll make World of Color dinner reservations at Wine Country Trattoria. I will aim for around 4 (I think that is about the time of the parade), so that hopefully we can sit on the patio and watch the parade. I'm pretty excited about seeing his reaction to World of Color. He has never been to anything remotely close to a theme park, so I'm sure it will be pretty awesome for him. That night, we will stay at Alamo Inn. It looks to be halfway between Downtown Disney and the Convention Center.

Friday morning, we'll have breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. Then we will head to Blizzcon. At some point, we'll have lunch/dinner at ESPN Zone- time depending on what highlights we are willing to skip at Blizzcon. He's a huge sports fan. We have to eat some time, so I figured why not at Downtown Disney.

Saturday will be a full Blizzcon day with dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. I haven't decided on where to eat breakfast. Any suggestions outside of the parks?

We will take a couple of days down time in Huntington Beach and then come back to Disneyland on Tuesday. Breakfast at Storyteller's Café and dinner at Blue Bayou. Big Thunder, Splash Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion- all my favorites!
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

You may want to rethink your World of Color-Wine Country Trattoria. I had it and you are right at the waters edge for WOC. You will get WET!

I am short, so if I'm not right up front, I can't see. I will hide behind him when the water sprays out. :P
