    Default Car Rental Return

OK, think I'm down to doing the car rental thing from Sanford Airport. Can I return a car rental at Disney somewhere like the car care center. Once at DISNEY, do not want to keep car for a week. Return one-way at DISNEY?

Alamo and National are both located on Disney property so, if you rent from them, you can turn the car in while at Disney. If you rent from another company, they may have a drop-off option in the general Disney area.

Check prices carefully. I've sometimes found it is less expensive to keep the car and return it to the initial rental spot even if it is just sitting in the parking lot in the interim.

We have done this when we've combined a Disney trip with a visit to the Tampa-area relatives. We drove to our resort and unloaded the car. Then my husband drove it to the Swan and Dolphin while my son and I hopped on a bus to Epcot. My husband (who is a bit nervous about these things) could not believe how easy it was. When it was time to return to the airport, we used Magical Express. Like Linda said, you might want to look into different rental options before picking one. How were you planning to get back to Sanford?

Thanks, I am doing the car rental to DISNEY Resort, return to Disney Care Car Center and they have free Shuttle to where ever I want to go on property. Then a week later I will call for a pick-up and do a 2 day rental after a visit away from Disney and back to Sanford. No need for the Rental Car the whole time.

I did this once when I found a ridiculously cheap airfare to Tampa. Rented the car in Tampa, dropped it off at the Car care center. The night before we left I call Alamo to schedule a shuttle to pick me up at the hotel in the morning. Drove the car back to Tampa.

Yep, that's my plan too. Cheap flight into Sanford (Grandson's Home) Rental Car from Alamo drive to POP unload, return car to Car Care Center and get a ride to Disney Springs. Bus back to resort. Then on check-out day, call for Shuttle pick up. Wha Laaa.
