Exclamation Walt Disney World Water Parks Testing "Virtual Queue" System

Beginning today (3/28) the Walt Disney World resort began to test a new queue option at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

Kiosks have been set up for several popular attractions to offer "Virtual Queue".

During the test period, Guests receive a wrist band and Pass with a per-printed 15 minute return window (similar to the printed style of FastPass).

    The pass reads as follows:
    • There will be a moderate wait upon return
    • Valid for one (1) Guest to return to the attraction queue at the time listed below.
    • Only Valid on date issued.
    • Cannot accept early or late arrivals.
    The Participating attractions are:

    • Downhill Double Dipper (Blizzard Beach)
    • Miss Adventure Falls (Typhoon Lagoon)
    • Slush Gusher (Blizzard Beach)
    • Summit Plummet (Blizzard Beach)

The test period will continue until April 7, 2017.

How ironic. I was just about to post that I wondered how long before FastPass came to the water parks. I think this will be great!!!!

Universal's new water park is supposed to have a virtual queue. I love how competition breeds innovation.

At least during the test, the pass was connected to the wristband.

Probably an easy question - are the magic bands not waterproof? I'd tend to think this would be the best way to track this, no?
