    Default Old Mickey button

My husband has really gotten into metal detecting lately. He found this button buried in our front yard. It's 7/8 of an inch wide, and had a brooch-type pin on the back. It's obviously a profile of Mickey, but I have searched and searched for it online, with no results. Our house was built in '66, so I'm thinking it may be from the 70s or 80s. I'm trying to find an age and where it came from. Any ideas?

That is pretty cool, but I am not an expert. I wonder is you sent a photo to Disney museum in California, they may be able to tell you.

Thanks for the idea, Bryan. I sent them an email. I may not get a response, but it's further than Google was getting me.

It's "obviously" a profile of Mickey Mouse? I don't see it...

Does this help any? The ears and nose are dark, and the top of one eye is visible.

What about from the 15th anniversary? I only mention that because I was at WDW during the 15th anniversary celebration, and they were handing out all kinds of little doo-dads as you entered the MK. I think I remember getting a button one day, although it wasn't Mickey Mouse.

No. I never got a response from the museum, and never found an image of the button online. Maybe I'll find it someday.

No. I never found another like it online, and none of the people/places I reached out to ever responded.
