Night Before Vacation

Do you have any traditions the night before a vacation? We take down our last count down chain, watch a Disney home video, and try to get to bed early. I would love to hear other traditions.

My husband usually waits until the night before to put anything in his suitcase ;-) He also likes to double check all of the light timers and door locks.

While this is going on, I will order and pick up pizza, pick a Disney movie to watch, and force myself to sit down because the next day will be very busy!

Yep, we're in the order a pizza and run around and finish packing club. No matter how early I start, how organized I try to be, we're always packing the last night. We do usually play our Disney music at least.

I usually work late to make sure everything is in order for while I will be gone. I pack my suitcase that night because it literally takes me 15 minutes.

Same here. We order out for dinner and do any last minute packing. I make sure newspaper and mail are on hold, take out all trash, clean out fridge, unplug unnecessary items, and tidy up the house.

We typically leave around noon the next day so I have the morning to finish up any chores around the house. That morning I usually go have car washed and cleaned on the inside, and stop by the bank before packing up the car and heading out. We spend that night in a hotel, usually in Lake City.

Typically, we finish up any packing that hasn't yet been done and get the house in shape for our absence.

We usually head to the airport around 5am so everyone gets up around 4am. The night before we pull everyones clothes out for the next day, the kids are excited, but still in zombie mode until we get to the airport. We also eat out the night before and leave the house empty while we are gone.
