December 12 day Shades of Green
Our trip to Shades of Green was a lovely trip this year. My husband and I enjoyed our relaxing vacation and the weather, for the most part, was very nice. We had one very rainy day, some foggy mornings and higher than normal temperatures except our one night at MVMCP ( I thought that put us more in the mood with a cool night).
Our park time went well but the crowds seemed heavy most of the days. Not sure why Disney felt the need for special promotions that were advertised days before we left ( lower ticket prices on 4 day passes and discount resorts). The crowds were especially high on weekends but that is to be expected. The days of early December trips with low crowds are long gone.
We haven't been to the MVMCP in quite a few years. The parade is new and the shows. Also new choices with the "free" treats at different locations. We also had booked the dessert party, which was not worth the extra $$$$$. But the parade location and fireworks while sitting was nice. We saw the show at the castle at midnight and it was a great holiday show. We saw the parade twice and the second parade was just as crowded as the first. I probably wouldn't go back to MVMCP now for a few more years but we enjoyed it. And I won't go to anymore dessert parties. Even with the special viewing areas they are not worth the extra cost. The desserts aren't that outstanding and they are so expensive.
