Back After Ten Years Day One 4/5/2016

We were here ten years ago with our teenage kids for the 50th anniversary. After seeing the Disneyland Forever Parade on UTube we decided we had to see it in person to celebrate the 60th anniversary. Sans kids this time! Our first Disney trip without them.
We left chilly Minnesota this morning and arrived in sunny California four hours later at the John Wayne / Orange County airport. Caught a shuttle to our hotel, The Peacock Suites. Our suite wasn't ready so we left our luggage there and headed to Downtown Disney. Did some shopping and had a great dinner buffet at Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel. It is about a 20 minute walk, which can be a long walk at the end of the day. There is a shuttle service that stops outside of our hotel that we will be checking on tomorrow, to start our first of five days in the parks. Can hardly wait!
