    Default Roadtrip Virginia to Phoenix

My friend wants to take a roadtrip from Virginia to Phoenix when my contract is up in June. We already plan on hitting Carlsbad Caverns, Graceland, the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Any other suggestions? He likes historical/natural/metaphysical/ghosty type things.

I know I'm biased, but I found Graceland to be a bit cheesy. Unless you are huge Elvis fans, you might have more fun stopping in Nashville rather than Memphis. The CMA fest is in June, so you maybe able to catch some free outdoor concerts downtown. If that isn't your scene, great history at Andrew Jackson's home the Hermitage, the Parthenon, Cheekwood Bontanical Gardens (also very artsy). Tons of Civil War history, and some ghost tours in nearby Franklin get great reviews.

Thanks. I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but my mother is. I just wanted to pick up a little souvenir for her. Maybe we will check out some of the stuff in Nashville.

If you are going I-40 Petrified Forest National Park is right on your path in Arizona and we thought it was pretty interesting.
