Headed to Arizona the first week of December. We knew we would be fine in in Tucson, but the weather around Grand Canyon can be iffy that time of year.

We flew into Phoenix and then drove up to Petrified Forest National Park. From there it was up to Grand Canyon, hitting some smaller National Monuments on the way. We spent a day and a half there and the weather was mild in the mid-50's for highs. The crowds are non existent later in the Fall, much more relaxing than the Summer.

Next we headed down through Sedona and on to Tucson where the weather was in the 70's. Here we visited the Senoran Desert Museum and Saguaro National Monument. Again, these places are much more relaxed Spring or Fall. There are also many pueblo Indian ruins to visit.
