Default Be Our Guest breakfast was a real let down

So we had breakfast at Be Our Guest last week. We were really disappointed in the quality, and the high price tag (even though we knew the price before going, I was hoping the food would be amazing).

I got the Eggs Florentine.... It showed up somewhat cold (like cool). There were two tiny wilted pieces of spinach on top (I thought there would be much more based on photos I've seen). I had a tiny little nib of cheese flavor in one of the bites of egg. The ham was very tiny, and loaded with veins of fat. I don't eat tomatoes, so those were a waste (but a cheap way to fill up a plate).

DH got the Open-Faced Bacon and Egg Sandwich... Again, showed up cold. Eggs were a very weird consistency for poached eggs. The brie cheese was as cold as if it came right out of the fridge.

The pastries were meh.... the croissant was pretty good, but the other pastries were just like at any buffet... nothing special or especially French. I would've liked butter for the croissant, but none was available.

At $21.99 per person, we felt it was a terrible value. AND... since it was breakfast, we couldn't use our TiW discount since it's technically counter service at that time (even though the food was delivered to our table).

We also found the CM's working there to be very humdrum and not friendly. I didn't see one person crack a smile the entire time. I would've complained about the food, but once our food was delivered, we were hard pressed to even be able to find or stop a CM to let them know. We just ate our breakfasts and vowed to not return.

Definitely won't be on our list for the next trip.

Nothing to add here other than that I couldn't imagine in a hundred visits ever coming here for breakfast and you've only helped to confirm that.

The price alone is enough to keep me away from there for breakfast. Lunch is a good value, though, I think.

Sorry to hear that. What a disappointment! Hopefully you gave Disney some feedback on it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was actually thinking of breakfast, but I've heard a couple of times that the food isn't so good, and at that price, it should be good!

The only benefit to a BOG breakfast is if you can get an ADR for say 8 am when the park opens at 9. (And this is only if you are on the dining plan.)We got a couple of quick rides on 7DMT before the park opened. I'm really surprised the new hasn't wore off this place yet.

P.S - Lunch was worse than breakfast.

We loved lunch there! Definitely disappointed that we couldn't get an ADR for our trip next week.

Try walking up right at 11am for lunch. We did that at Spring Break and were able to get right in.

I have had two good lunch experiences there.

We had the same experience with the Castle years ago. Year after year we'd visit the MK and smell the wonderful aroma of breakfast coming from the Castle, to finally one day having a chance to dine there to be greatly underwhelmed !! Oh well, it was a bucket list thing and ... been there done that....

Yes, we did. We were asked to fill out one of those computer questionnaires about our dining experience in MK as we were leaving the park. We were quite honest and blunt in our answers.

My experiences with breakfast anywhere on Disney property have all be very disappointing. The food at breakfast is always of poor quality and very little verity. I have found very little difference between breakfast at one of the Values food courts and that served at any of the restaurants.

Sorry to hear your breakfast was less than magical. We ate there in September, and our food was very good, albeit pricey.
