What Disney restaurants take disney gift cards?

I think I'm going to maximize my points on my disney visa for this trip by buying some gift cards for our spending money in advance, but I don't want to over buy!

Walt Disney World® Resort

Use at participating locations throughout Walt Disney World Theme Park, Downtown Disney®¹, Walt Disney World® Water Parks², and Walt Disney World® Resorts³. Use toward admission tickets, annual passes, hotel rooms, spa experiences, as well as merchandise, dining and recreation.
Use at Disney owned and operated locations where credit cards are currently accepted.
Some carts, and other outdoor merchandise vendors may not be able to accept the gift card.
Walt Disney World Theme Parks

The Disney Gift Card can be used to purchase Theme Park admission tickets and annual passes. It may also be used at Disney owned and operated merchandise, dining and recreation locations where credit cards are currently accepted. Some carts, and other outdoor Merchandise vendors may not be able to accept the gift card.
Downtown Disney®

The Disney Gift Card can be used to purchase admission tickets to DisneyQuest®. Looks like since you can use them towards accumulated purchases on your magic band - any place that takes a magic band/room charge would be safe... since you can apply them towards that. That means pretty much anywhere in the park...

Bah! That would be an excellent idea if we were staying on property but this is the first trip in many years that we aren't. I'll just go with a portion of our spending money to be safe. I also tried calling dining but no surprise there were no clear cut answers.

I was under the impression that Disney gift cards can be used everywhere within the parks. I've heard they are even accepted at the food carts for ice cream or beverages.

There are a few places that are not Disney owned within the parks and Disney Springs. You can use them at the food carts and such. But not every restaurant takes them (although the majority do).
