Default If price were no issue... Best Resort?

I want everyone's opinion here, if price were not an issue (say everything costs the same) which resort would you say, from experience, was the absolute best?

Prior to the construction - I would say IMO the Polynesian. Haven't been in a few years so I will have to hold my opinion until we return there next year and see how the DVC has ultimately changed my favorite resort. I enjoy the feeling of the lush tropical feeling you find there. It's like you get two vacations in 1 - Disney & a tropical paradise.

Hmm. Still love the Polynesian but the magic kingdom views from the main tower of the contemporary are pretty spectacular. Probably the place I want to go back to again most.

I'm with John on this one.

Contemporary MK View Tower. Club level would be my choice.

Beach Club for me, for places I've stayed. I'd really like to stay at the Contemporary, though.

While the Poly is on our family vacation dream list, my DH has wanted to stay at the Contemporary since he was a little boy. If I were ever to do an "ultimate" Disney vacation, I would be hard pressed to select between the two of them.

I would stay at the Yacht and Beach club so I could walk into the back of Epcot!

Man, that's a tough question. I've always dreamed of the Poly. The King Kamehameha Suite would be *fantastic*. I've stayed at Bay Lake with a MK view, and that was really cool...

My favorite resort though has got to be the Beach Club. The pool, the Boardwalk, the back entrance to Epcot and being right by the France pavilion with their Gelato counter and bakery, along with great seats for Illuminations and then a quick walk back to the room...tough to beat.

So, I'd say that if money were no object, i'd stay in the swankiest room at the Beach Club.

Would have to be the Beach Club. The pool, the location, the proximity to EPCOT and Boardwalk restaurants - all make it a great place for us to enjoy.

    It's a 3-way tie for me.

Grand Floridian (Love the theme & the monorail)
Yacht Club (Walking distance to Epcot, boat to Hollywood Studios, great pool)
Animal Kingdom Lodge (Great theme, very relaxing resort, awesome views from room balcony, best restaurants in WDW, super close to AK park)

If I were considering a resort vacation only (not the rest of WDW), I would say the Grand Floridian. Beach Club maybe a close second, because of the pool. But for a no-holds-barred, cost-no-object, all inclusive WDW trip, I would choose the Contemporary Tower MK view! (with ADRs at California Grill). Of course I can't actually afford it, but I can dream!

Does that room in the castle count? If so, That would be it. If not, I'm thinking Presidential suite at Wilderness Lodge

Yeah, that (the Castle) would be definitely be the one. I forgot about that option. Well, it's not really an option, but we're just dreaming aren't we?

I'm with Linda; Grand Floridian, main building concierge level would be my choice. I've stayed Sugarloaf concierge and loved it. That is the one club level where Disney has come close to giving a true concierge experience.

The Wilderness Lodge was fantastic!! Nothing else compares....yet. Next up for us could be the Contemporary Resort. I have often wondered how magical a stay at the CR could be!
