    Default Scooter and reg room?

While I need to use a scooter on vacation I don't really need a handicap room. My only concern is being able to get to and from the room since I can't do the stairs. So should I get a handicapped room anyway?

For me the only reason would be getting in/ out of a tub. I can, so I don't need the handicapped accessible room.

If you need a roll in shower, or can't step into a tub/shower. I would request an accessible room.

If you have your own car and are able, for my mom's scooter we usually left the scooter itself in the car and only brought the battery in to charge. If that's not an option for you, the value rooms can be a pretty tight squeeze for the scooter, but that's accessible or not, but it's still definitely possible to fit it in. The moderate and deluxe rooms are slightly better but still require a little moving things around.

We always have Mom's scooter in a regular room. You do have to move the table & chairs for best fit, but it really wasn't an issue at all.

Most of the buildings have elevators (although one time we were a LONG way from it), and if you're in building that doesn't have them, let the CM know t check-in that you need to be able to get the scooter to the room.

When we had gram & stepfather both with mobility issues (1 scooter & 1 wheelchair) we opted for a deluxe room for the space but I am sure it would be easy to accomodate at a moderate. We had a handicapped room once but honestly it wasn't helpful for us bc neither were in their ECV 24/7 so we had them switch our room. Basically I am saying it will depend on ur specific mobility concerns. But I believe the resorts can be very accomodating with room placement to help in these instances.
