    Cool Sun Pass

We leave to drive down to DISNEY in 50 days. Our 10 Hour Drive takes us out of Charlotte, NC down I-85, I-77, I-26, I-95, I-4 to Sanford and then we pick-up SR 417 Toll Road to the Front Door to our Disney Resort. This road by-passes ALL the Orlando and other Amusement Park traffic along I-4. Now time to load $15 on my Sun Pass, then we don't even have to Slow Down at the Toll Booth. Best $ 6 bucks I spend on vacation.
Anyone else use SR 417 when driving down to see Mickey? If not, you may want to check it out.

Isn't that the 'new' road they built to go from the airport to Disney? I used to drive the Beeline, but I think 417 has less traffic.

After reading recommendations here on I-cot to use 417, we tried it a couple trips back and are now big fans of using 417 and Sunpass.
We usually arrive on Saturday evenings and avoiding I-4 is well worth it.

I drive from TN so I come in from the West side of Disney using SR429, and I love-love-love avoiding Orlando! I too purchased a Sun Pass just for use on Disney trips.

SR 417 starts in Sanford and yes it goes right behind Orlando's Airport. We literally get on, get up to speed slightly over posted speed an don't slow down or stop till we get off at Main Gate. Try that on I-4.

Yup... we always use it, and have the Sunpass just for that part of the trip. Works perfectly, and definitely save time through the traffic and crazy drivers!

    Cool

Just easily loaded $10 bucks to my SunPass mounted on my Explorer's windshield. We now have 40 short days until we leave for Our 30th Anniversary Trip. SR 417, the Best $6 bucks we spend on the entire trip, except for a Dole Whip!

The Beeline (SR 528, renamed the "Beachline" in the early to mid 2000s) runs east and west; SR 417 runs north and south

But yes, both roads are *great* to get around the I-4/downtown Orlando traffic.
