Changing Resorts and Magic Bands

Hi everyone! I've never changed resorts before and have a question. The first night we arrive we'll be at Pop. We have a room only reservation and no tickets tied to our bands. The next day, we're moving to POR for 5 days with our tickets tied to the other set of bands. Our plans are to go to HS early in the morning to get in the very, very long lines for SWW and Mark Hamill. Initially we were planning on checking out from Pop, having bell services transfer our luggage, and check in at POR sometime later that day or in the evening. But, I realized that our park tickets are tied to the POR reservation.

Do I need to go to POR in the morning to officially check in in order to activate the tickets? If I do online check in, will this alleviate this problem? If we have to go from Pop to POR, I assume we'd need to take a cab, any ideas on what the cost would be?

Sorry for so many questions, we've never done this before and the whole SWW is complicating things a bit.

I realize things change daily, but this is what happened when we went in Dec. We had one night at POP. The rest of the time we spent at WL and our tickets were attached to that reservations. Magically, our tickets were able to be attached to both magic bands. We went to POP, registered, went to a park and the next day sent our luggage to WL and never went there until after parks closed that day. Just let front desk know of your plans and they will coordinate.
