    Talking So many questions....

    1. Can we bring unopened or empty water bottles into the MK?

    2. Can we bring small battery operated fans into the MK with us. These are small enough to fit in a pocket, but are made to hang around your neck.

    3. Do you think going to the Town Hall for a Birthday pin is exciting for a teen? Do they even give one at your resort check in if you ask?

    4. This is DD's sweet 16 wish a day at the MK with me. What can I do to make this day extra special for her?
It's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow...

I'm just about positive you can bring both the fans and empty water bottles with you. You cannot bring glass bottles, or alcohol.

If you note your daughters birthday on your reservation, they will give you a pin at check in. If you don't note it - you can still ask for one as you are checking in, or get one at any of the parks. I always think birthdays at Disney are exciting, I'm sure your daughter will love it! My suggestion would be to see if there is anything special she wants to do. Our family lets the birthday person (we typically go when two birthdays fall) pick what they want to do for the day (park, rides, lunch, etc...).

I definitely think you can bring in water bottles or unopened bottled water. My suggestion, get one of the water bottles with a built in filter so you can refill it at water fountains in the parks.

In addition to getting a button, I recommend getting either a shirt or tiara/ hat that is also birthday themed if your DD would be interested in that. Cast members are so fantastic at really going out of their way to wish guests happy birthday and do special things for them, and the easier you make it for them to spot the birthday girl, the better.

Maybe plan on getting a special memento, more expensive than the typical souvenir to remember the day. Haven't looked in a while, but they used to have the etched crystal paperweights with your photo or a hand-cut silhouette. Something like that of both of you would be a keepsake of the day for years to come.

You can bring soda, sandwiches and water into the parks as long as nothing is in a glass container.

Many folks use the fans which a misting water bottle attached. These can certainly be brought into the park and I would expect that any other non-dangerous type of fan could be brought in as well.

I'd go with how your daughter feels about the birthday button. Some folks would rather that there be no attention directed at them. Others would be delighted at a public acknowledgement. Oftentimes, if the celebration is noted on your reservation, you will automatically receive the button at checkin. If not, you can ask for one there or at customer relations inside any of the parks.

You can bring drinks including water in plastic containers in the parks. We always bring a backpack with some waters and gatorades. We also bring snacks by the way.

You can bring the small fans. The kids have some that are spray bottles with fans that they always bring.

I don't know if going to town hall for a birthday pin would be something a 16 year old would like or not....probably really depends on them and the things they like. As already mentioned, you can list the birthday celebration on your reservation and they usually give you a birthday pin at check in.

As far as making the day special, maybe let her pick the rides and how many times/when she wants to ride them.

Since she is turning 16, I wonder if a tour could be a good gift, since you have to be 16 to enjoy the "good behind the scenes" ones.

Otherwise, I'd make it a favourites day ... she picks her favourites (food, snacks and rides) and then a special present to remember the day.

Yes, yes and maybe !! haaha !! I'm sure your teen will love the pin, but some don't. You can get them at either place, it's faster at the resort. Wow, to make it special, just being together is perfect enough !!

They usually ask when you check in if you are celebrating something...birthday pins will usually get you a free cookie at the very least!

Also, get her Mickey Ears...you can get her birthday stitched on the back...My kids still have their ears...never to old to have them

    So true!

This is one thing I really adore about Disney! As a mom on a budget, it helps so much that we can bring in food and drinks [just no glass or alcohol]. It saves money that we can spend in the parks elsewhere.

Also, on the Disney Website, you can order various gift packages and add what you want. And it will be in the resort room when you arrive!
