Default Room keys and 2-bedroom lockoff question

My parents will join my brother and his family in a 2-bedroom lockoff unit at the Boardwalk. None of us have ever had this arrangement before, so my parents had a question about the key cards.

Do the key cards open both the studio and the 1-bedroom doors to the unit? If so, is it possible to have some of the cards open only the studio side and some open the 1-bedroom side, or do all the cards have to be able to open both doors? Hope this isn't too confusing.

    Thanks in advance!

When we stayed there few years back the key opened either door. I''m not sure if they could code them differently because it is booked as one room number but they could ask. My thought is that in order to code them differently they would need to enter it as two different room numbers which might affect the booking.
