    Default Escape from Tomorrow Movie

Not sure where this thread should go...

Just rented and watched Escape from Tomorrow movie. Very strange indeed.

I was amazed how they could film nearly the entire 90 minute movie on location at WDW and DL. You can tell that some of the MK scenes are fake, and others are at DL. However, the majority of the movie was filmed on location at the Contemporary and Epcot.

I wonder how/if Disney will respond.

Disney has already answered. Apparently they got the Film producers to remove about 3 total minutes of footage.

Disney already replied last year I think?
I have heard it's an awful, awful movie.

    Default Escape To Tomorrow Review

I just wanted to give my take on this movie.

I would not have even known about it if it werent' for this thread. I found the movie on YouTube and while I didn't watch it in its entirety, I did skip through it.

Here are my findings and impression of it as a whole:

The movie seems aimed towards those who do not like theme parks and especially Disney Parks. We're all aware of friends, neighbors, etc., who cannot fathom why people pay what they do and spend the time that they spend at the parks.

Our family loves Disney and while I respect those who don't, I thought that the movie went overboard in suggesting that the general experience is a negative one, vis a vis all of the throwing up by the dad and the son plus all of the weird and creepy interactions between the dad and the French girls and princesses, etc.

The production is horrible and the continuity is horrible as well; for example, the family is staying at the Contemporary but the room towards the end is obviously not at the resort.

The ending is just really out there.

    That is all.

How can you give a review of a movie if you skipped through it and didn't complete it.

It focused on a lot of internal family problems and how they played out in the parks. If you also watched the movie, you would know why the son threw up and why the father was throwing up.

It might not be a great movie and 100 % accurate but they shot it guerrilla style in the parks.

I watched this movie just because it intrigued me that the movie was shot at Disney and no one was the wiser. What I can say is that I wish I had those 90 minutes back! The movie was dark, weird and had some very uncomfortable overtones. Don't waste your time.

    Default Great Film

Thanks to this website I found a movie about the Disney Theme parks from the view of someone who isn't devoted to Disney. I found the film very entertaining and enjoyable. It was a lot like a Twilight Zone episode but with more humor. I'll bet old Walt must be spinning in his ice chest.
