We have been lucky to have lived in several states and had some amazing trips.

    My favorites are

St. Louis - for the value. Lots of major places to go are free. My only complaint is St. Louis isn't that easy to find your way around - we were lucky that I had a relative that lived there and did most of the driving.

Chicago - love downtown, the museums, the food and enjoying the beautiful Lake Shore Drive

    Acadia National Park

    Colorado

    Smoky Mountain National Park

I would love to return again to almost every place we've vacationed at (except for Miami's South Beach--from the other thread). That said, I would love to go to Ireland again. We only scratched the surface last time and it is such a beautiful place. I would also visit London again (and again!) There is so much to do and see there.

I would (or do) return to:

+ Montréal (one of my favourite places, if not, my favourite... in the summer)
+ Washington, DC (especially to see more of the Smithsonian)
    + Ottawa (my first flight)
    + Manhattan/N.Y.C. (another favourite)
+ Both Paris and Berlin (my two European stops so far).
+ Vancouver/Whistler (a quick flight from Calgary and both have tons to offer)
    + Anaheim/L.A. (it's now been awhile)
    =) Travis

WDW, multiple visits. DLR, many years ago pre-DCA. Disneyland Paris, one amazing two-day visit. Up next: Disneyland Shanghai, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, and Disneyland Hong Kong!

I would definitely go back to Yellowstone and Grand Teton. There's just so much to see. Also Maui and back to Wales.

We would love to do that trip again.

Would also like to visit the Smoky Mountains again. We drove through them last year on our road trip to WDW and it was really fun but did hate driving through the Dollywood area, traffic was horrible.
Ditto for the keys. Stayed in sarasota in march 2013 and drove to the keys, getting there was half the fun!!!
Also we loved Hilton Head (but I guess that's sort of disney??) and we love the Caribbean islands: Aruba, Grand Cayman, Atlantis and Hawaii!!

This pretty much looks like my To-Do list.

My favorites (other than WDW) are -
Mackinac Island, MI - I'd go there every year if it wasn't so far away - next time I'll also visit Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
Algonquin Provincial Park, ON, CA (we visited there 8 years in a row)
Cape May, NJ (with LBI a close second) - I love the Jersey Shore and miss living there (eastern Monmouth county, NJ) very, very much

I love seeing everyone else's recommendations. Some people love the National Parks, while others love major cities or Europe.
