    Default New rooms at CBR!

So I was on my way to my room when I saw another room door ajar and without a room number. Upon investigation I discovered its a completely refurbed room around 90% done!

Sorry if this is old news to anyone (hard to search old topics on iPhone) but its big news to me.

I had my wife run interference while I snuck in and took a handful of pics. I'll see if I can post soon.

    My take: interesting. Very interesting.

Please post the pics! We love CBR and would love to see new room decor! I would hope queen beds are also going into the rooms. It's the only moderate still having doubles.

This resort needs a refurb very bad so that is great news. Thanks for the update.

I was just there in October and was very satisfied with the resort and my room - what does the "new" rooms look like? This was my first time staying, so I'm not sure if I got a new room or not

Appologies but I've been looking for days to see how to post pics to this board. No luck.

Sorry I can't help with posting of pics, I still don't know how to either.

Anyway can you give a brief description of what you saw? New furniture? New bedding? I look forward to seeing what's new. We last stayed there in July of last year and I thought our room was still in great condition, but something new and updated is always welcomed!

Has this changed recently? I have seen lots of posts in the past with pictures in them that were posted by members who were not moderators.

Ok, let's give this a try. The room looks almost completely built. I will say I do like the sliding panels that divide the sleeping quarters from the sinks. This is a serious departure from the current and previous styles. I would call the previous styles vibrant, colorful and classically caribbean from the light woods to the more timeless fixtures. I would call the new one modern, trendy and more pacific island inspired from the dark woods to the inset patterns on the lamp and mirror. The only thing I would call caribbean really is the steel drum table. I don't dislike it, I would just call it Polynesian resort #2.

Thank you for the photos. I, too, like the panels at the bathroom sink area. What a great find!

Thank you. It looks nice. I hope the beds are converting to Queen to match the other mods.

The photo of the tv makes me wonder if the new rooms will sleep 5 like POR? That bench/tv stand looks an awful lot like the little Murphy/trundle beds at riverside now.

I love the new decor. We loved the pirate rooms, but didn't love the regular rooms. These look much more modern and nicer than what was there before, in my opinion of course.

The new decor is nice, but call me sentimental. I still like the original decor back in the day when CBR first opened. I also like the original look of OPR. CBR was our first Disney resort, so I guess you could say it's my home away from home.

I guess I'm in the minority, but even though I realize that changes happen for good reasons, I have happy memories of many stays at CBR when my Mother was still alive. I have many photos, but my memory card is defective. I'm hoping I'll be able to recover the photoes, otherwise, I'll always have a memory card in my files but I'll never be able to see the photos. I'm hoping that, one of these days when I have some time, I'll be able to find some old photos somewhere online.

I agree that the space under the tv looks like the pull down beds at POR. That would be great for those like us needing rooms that sleep 5. It is always nice to have options.

Yes, that looks like there will be a murphy bed in CBR like the one in POR Alligator Bayou.

That is definitely a pull down bed under the t.v.

But, that t.v. looks so tiny up there! LOL!

What a great find! I didn't even know this resort was undergoing a refurbishment. Perhaps this is the "model room" you saw? Funny how the door was just left open. What would you have done if someone had walked in on you?

    Great job, super spy CAS.
