    Default Biergarten

I've been having health issues this year, so my days of travelling solo to WDW are probably over. I'm hoping to go back in August, and my adult nephew will be going with me. This leads to my question, which I know someone out there will be able to answer.

I don't care for German food, so I've never eaten at Biergarten. But, my nephew would really like to go there. I'm thinking about a late lunch. What is on the menu that you can recommend for someone who doesn't care for sausage/wurst? Thanks in advance for your help.

They have chicken schnitzel or pork schnitzel, meatballs, roast pork and meat loaf for meat dishes.

Here is a menu from Intercot's InfoCentral (thank you to the wonderful people who run it!): http://www.intercot.com/infocentral/...biergarten.asp

I would add that the rotisserie chicken might be good, as would plain spaetzle. I'm truly sorry to hear about your health problems and wish you the best.

Do not worry in the least, you will find plenty of food to eat. You will leave stuffed if you choose.

I was in the same boat on our last trip. Not really a German food lover but my husband really wanted to go. I ended up really liking it. There are plenty of dishes to choose from and a really fun atmosphere. You'll have a blast!

Others have pretty much nailed it. Honestly, I could have filled up on the dessert section alone but, I wanted to comment to say sorry to hear of your health issues and hope your feeling better soon!

Thanks everyone for the info. The menu has some interesting choices and your suggested dishes sound great, so I know I'll find something I'll enjoy and won't have to fill up on dessert. I'm looking forward to trying a new place, not to mention the great entertainment and fun atmosphere. I know my nephew will be happy when he finds he's going to be able to "pig out" on his favorites.

I also appreciate your good wishes re my health. I was very luck that I didn't suffer the worst effects possible. It's been a slow recovery process, but I'm getting back to normal. I'm looking forward to being back at my "home away from home" in August.

Now all I have to do is come up with my list of TS places and make my ressies next month.

One thing to note is that most of the tables are long and normally you have to share it with others. 3 of us ate dinner here as the rest of our party didn't want to eat German food (their lose) and we had to sit with 2 other families with kids. Everything worked out fine and we really enjoyed the resturant but don't be surprised by it. I did notice smaller tables around so you could ask for that.
I would like to also add that the food is not all brats and it's very good. Enjoy your trip.
