    Question Transportation from Poly to Epcot on Morning EMH

    We are flying down to Disney for the first time in a long time. We usually drive down and have the luxury of using our car at will for the duration.

    This time, we are leaving the car at home and relying entirely on Disney Transportation.

    So, on morning Extra Magic Hours for Epcot, the monorail to Epcot starts to run at 8:00 AM. This won't allow us to be at the gate early before rope drop.

    What is the alternative?

    Should we walk to the TTC and grab a bus to Epcot (I don't imagine that there are buses from the Poly to Epcot)?

    We'd like to get to Epcot by 7:30 AM.

    Any suggestions?

    There are no buses at the TTC that go to Epcot.

    You ask an interesting question, however, and I'm embarrassed to say I don't know the answer.

    When disney stopped running the monorail during EMH my understanding was that busses would be the substitute. Maybe try calling the Poly to confirm.
    First trip May 1996 and many since

    If normal transportation isn't running, then there is usually a bus of some sort. There's usually an early morning bus for character meals, check with the front desk...

    You can't call Poly directly ... the so-called direct resort numbers all get answered at a centralized call center (but they answer as if they are at the resort). Anything those CMs don't think they can handle, they put you on hold and they call the actual resort. The CM who answers that call has the option of taking your call or telling the call center CM to just handle it.

    But even if the Poly CM decides to take your call, chances are they won't know the correct answer, anyway. Disney does a suprisingly poor job of cross-training cast members ... they know their exact roles quite well but very few of them have any clue about what goes on even a few steps away from their own role.

    The BEST way to get your question answered is to wait until you arrive at WDW and then ask any Disney Transport cast member ... any bus driver, any monorail pilot, and so on. They will know the exact and up-to-date answer for you.
