    Default Stroller I.D.

Have read about Stroller theft, misplacement and relocation?
What are some of the different types of stroller ID's you guys have used to distinguish your child's ride from everyone else's?
    Muchas Gracias!

I would be interested to know too as we will be bringing DS's stroller with us and don't want it stolen.

bright orange duct tape wrapped around the handles. We were able to find our strollers no matter where they moved it, even at night.

We wrapped Coban around the handles. I would buy a color that was bright.

For those that might not know what Coban is,it is a stretchy, self sticking bandage/ wrap. Kind of like an ace bandage or it is used to hold a dressing on a wound. I was able to buy it at Target and our local drug store sells it. Both places have many colors to choose from too.
The great part is it comes off very easily too.

We have always tied a bight bandana or ribbon on the handle. Last time we forgot to bring one, so we used a lei we got from the Poly.

This is my first time going with a stroller.
What should I do to ensure that I get my stroller at the of an attraction? Does anyone know what happens if I rent a stroller and it disappears?

I've heard on numerous occasions people suggesting diaper and a snickers bar.

I've never had a problem though, just a few distinuishing marks on the stroller. I have seen many people leaving everything in their stroller which I think is a really bad idea. I have to suggest however DO NOT attach your stroller to anything at WDW, CMs may need to move it for any number of reasons, (parade route, etc) and having it attached to a fence or other object isn't going to make any friends.

We've taken strollers many times and haven't had a problem yet. We don't leave much in the stroller - only a soft sided cooler with some water in it and maybe some diapers and wipes in a ziplock bag. I also have never brought my expensive strollers mainly because I don't want the airlines to ruin them. The stroller we brought the last two trips I bought at a garage sale. It's the only place it goes (because my oldest doesn't need a stroller anywhere else...) and I don't worry about it - this might be a good solution if you're worried about it walking away forever.

When we used strollers, we used to write our names and cell phone number on an index card, stick it inside a ziploc, and then duct tape the whole package to the stroller somewhere that it wasn't easily removed. This served the dual purpose of stroller "ID" ("hey, there's ours with the big ugly thing stuck to the back") as well as serves to deter anyone who might think it's their stroller ("hey, our stroller doesn't have this big, ugly thing stuck to the back") and finally, if it somehow ended up at Lost and Found, our information would be available as proof that it was ours.

We also just bought an obnoxiously colored stroller (navy with a BRIGHT yellow hood). We could find it everywhere and didn't notice many duplicates over the years.

We have taken a stroller every time we have gone without a problem. Keep in mind that CM's will be moving your stroller to keep things organized in the designated stroller areas. They will move your stroller to the closest stroller area if you leave it in an undesignated area. This is especially true at Fantasmic in DHS, they will move it either to the stroller area right before you enter the performance area or out across the street outside the entrance to the queue. You will be surprised at how many people have your stroller or stroller handles that look the same. You can put anything on the handles that will stand out to you, at night we even add glow bracelets. We put luggage tags with our number and address too. We leave anything on the stroller that we wouldn't miss if stollen, nothing of value or that we cannot easily replace. If you would miss it or be lost without it, keep it with you at all times. To get thru bag check lines entering the parks I would suggest keeping things in ziploc baggies and as organized as you can, have all compartments open, ready and off the stroller for security to check. I can't imagine trying to navigate WDW with small children without the stroller, esp at the end of the night with a sleepy child who just can't walk anymore. I give credit to those that can, they amaze me!!

In all the years we had a stroller, we never had an issue retrieving it. Yes, sometimes it was relocated by the CM Parking staff, but we never had an issue with stuff going missing etc. I think tying something to the handle for quick identification is a great idea though!

Ditto this! We've been 6 times with at least one stroller in tow and we've never had an issue. I've seen balloons, curling ribbon, bandanas, etc. Disney rentals all have a name card on back to avoid confusion with so many identical strollers and you could easily make something similar for your stroller.

    I've never had a problem

We've used neon rubber bands, ribbons, etc. and glow bracelets at night.

I believe if it's a rental you can go to guest services/stroller rental with your receipt and they'll give you another one.

We've never had a problem with anyone stealing our strollers over the years but I had left my poncho in a bag in the stroller and someone took that! It was used too, just stuck back in the bad to keep it from dripping.

I think the best I've heard is to bring a doggie waste bag or diaper waste Baggie, fill it with something just so it 'looks used' and tie it to the handle. Worked like a charm 15 years ago! Plus then, it's easy to tell yours apart for the others

I agree with those who have had no problem. We are coming out of stroller zone finally after many many years - never any issues with someone taking our stroller. Ever. Nothing special or tied on but do what makes you feel at ease. For me, a dirty diaper - even fake - just wouldn't do it.

They did not suggest to tie a dirty diaper to the stroller just the bag
