Anyone been on a trans-ocean repositioning cruise? I'm interested in one, but I'm wondering what's the best way to get back to the U.S. One way international flights look to be outrageously expensive. What have you done?
Talk to a cruise travel agent. Sometimes the cruise line itself has negotiated one-way fares; if not, a good travel agent should be familiar with consolidator tickets from US to Europe that should be more affordable. (Or like the previous poster suggested, you could take the Queen Mary 2 (which makes regular transatlantic crossing in both directions) for the other half of the voyage. Talk about a great trip--grand QM2 crossing, high speed rail from England to southern Europe, side trip to Paris, extended and relaxing Disney cruise back to the states.)
