Default Starbucks coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort

    From the Disney Parks Blog:

Today, we’re excited to officially announce plans to bring your favorite Starbucks drinks and food items to all of our theme parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.

In June, the first of six planned Starbucks locations is scheduled to open at Disney California Adventure park. And more locations are planned at Disneyland park and Walt Disney World Resort (Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom).

The Starbucks locations inside our parks will be designed to fit the theme of their surroundings. At Disney California Adventure park, Starbucks will be located in the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café on Buena Vista Street, a place that transports guests to 1920s Los Angeles, when Walt Disney arrived in California and a cup of coffee was the perfect way to jumpstart a busy day. The store’s location plays off the Spanish/Mexican architecture of the period, and baristas will wear 1920s-inspired attire.

The café will serve Starbucks items, including coffee and espresso beverages, Frappuccino® blended beverages, and signature breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Guests also will have their choice of Disney favorites, including signature sandwiches and other items, as well as delicious desserts and sweet treats.
Son of Jor-El.. Kneel before Zod...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...

BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

I agree. I much prefer Green Mountain Coffee, Newman's Own, or Dunkin' Donuts. I've never cared for Starbucks or Seattle's Best.

Nevertheless, if WDW was going to bring in a coffee contract, I suppose Starbucks makes sense business-wise, and at least it should be an improvement from the stuff they have now.

That so called "burned" taste is what "COFFEE" tastes like! All those DD and GM coffees add syrup to their beans giving it that "Americanized everything must taste like candy canes" flavor!

I am super psyched for some proper "COFFEE" and Starbucks does it best!!!

    Welcome aboard, Starbucks!!!

This is better than Nescafe, but I agree that Starbucks is generally .

I had heard about the Disneyland locations awhile back, but I'm surprised that they will be INSIDE the parks. I don't really like that...

As long as Disney doesn't start looking like City Walk I'll be fine.

Hopefully they'll have Sumatra, French Roast or Italian Roast available. The darker/stronger, the better!! And when I tell them I want it black, I actually get black.

I say this because, unfortunately, there is no Starbucks on my way to work, but there are 2 DD's. So, on occasion I'll grab a BLACK coffee to go, or so I think. At least 50% of the time my black coffee comes loaded with cream. I got so irritated one morning that I gave the people working behind the counter a lesson in how to pour a black coffee.... to the applause of others in line. Oh, and this happens at BOTH of the DD's I visit.

    1) Disney changes menus to give us "healthy" stuff.
    2) So, we get ****** buns and yucky hot dogs.
    3) Kids menus are a source of complaints.
    4) So, with the healthy, now we can get 700 calorie coffees!
    5) The next thing people will want is Starbucks on DDP.

Gotta say, if your Starbucks is 700 calories, that's on you. Me, black, or with Splenda and cinnamon, 0-10 calories.

    Thank you!!

I drink mine black. Nothing else. It's also less than $2, so I don't know why people think Starbucks is sooooo expensive (and so unhealthy).

Yup, I said that earlier in this thread. Also, Starbucks has sugar free syrups and fat free milk products, along with soy, so ridiculous calorie counts are purely a choice.

Also, I'll repeat my prediction about the Starbucks locations. Everywhere you see kiosks that say Espresso and Coffee are NOT Disney run. I predict they will just transition to Starbucks kiosks. They're already in every park. Starbucks treats are better then the treats at the current kiosks, although, now we're talkin' calories again

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you!
